How do I renew a book? How do I access My Account at the library?
Faculty, Staff, and Students
Online Renewals and Accessing "My Account":
- Go to library.lmu.edu, select "My Account" at the top of the page. If you have already signed into your MyLMU account, you will be automatically logged into your library account. If not, you will be prompted to login with your MyLMU credentials.
- On the "My Library Account" page, select "LOANS" to view a list of borrowed library material.
- Find the item you want to renew and click on the word "RENEW."
- If there are multiple items you would like to renew, click on the numbered box next to the titles. Then go to the top of the page and click "Renew Selected." A new due date will automatically appear.
Please note: library books may also be renewed in person at the Circulation Desk.
Visitors with Borrowing Privileges
- By Email:
- Email the Circulation Desk at circulation@lmu.edu with your library card number and the titles of the items you wish to be renewed.
- This method is preferrable for visitors with borrowing privileges because they will receive an email with their new due date that can be referred to in the future.
- Email the Circulation Desk at circulation@lmu.edu with your library card number and the titles of the items you wish to be renewed.
- By Phone:
- Call the Circulation Desk at 310.338.5710. Please be prepared by having your library card and the titles of the items you wish to be renewed at the time of the call.
- In Person:
- Visit the Circulation Desk to renew your library items in person. For information about the library is open, please see our hours as they vary. Please note, after 10:00 p.m., access to the library requires a current LMU One Card.
Renewal Periods
Renewal periods depends on the borrower's university status and the type of material being renewed. For more information, please choose from the following:
- Undergraduate, Graduate, and Loyola Law Students
- Loyola Law School Faculty and Staff
- Retired faculty and staff
- Alumni or Visitor with Borrowing Privileges
