How do I check out DVDs, CDs, and VHS tapes (media items)?

Media items, like DVDs and CDs, can be found using the library catalog. You should use the Advanced Search option to limit the location to "Media" and to search by "Keyword", "Author", or "Title". In order to view all of the media that LMU owns, limit the location to "Media" and enter "*" in the search box.

Some media types, like VHS tapes, may need to be requested from the basement. In order to request an item from the basement, click on the red "Request" button within the library catalog.

You can check out media items, such as DVDs, from the Circulation Desk on Level 1 of the library. For checkout period, click on the borrowing privileges for your patron category: Faculty  |  Staff  |  Student  |  Loyola Law School  |  Visitor

Faculty may book (reserve) a media item in advance for use in their class, using the form below.
