What software do the computers in the Information Commons have?

Computers and Software at the Library

List of Software at the Library

The Information Commons at the William H. Hannon Library features 75 computers (53 run Mac OS and 22 run Windows) and 9 dual monitors. Students, faculty, and staff can use their MyLMU username and password to log-in to these computers. Qualified visitors can request a computer guest log-in at the Information Desk.

Screen Reader and Magnification Software

Two Windows computers near the HP black and white printers have Jaws (screen reader), Kurzweil (screen reader), and Zoomtext (magnification and screen reader) installed on them - see the Disabilities page for more information, including current versions available.

Level 2 Computers

  • CFA Lab Computers: Computers A-H on Level 2 are from a closed CFA lab and contain specialized software that are for use by CFA students only. Equipment for these computers (Wacom tablets, MIDI keyboards) can be found at the Circulation desk.
  • Bloomberg Terminals: LMU Students, faculty, and staff can request an account for these terminals using their school email at https://portal.bloombergforeducation.com/login. More terminals are located in the Hilton 010 computer lab.

Students can also check the other campus labs for specific software and hours.
