How can I recall a book that is checked out?

 

In OneSeach, if you are signed into your library account, a red request link should appear under "Get it." Click on this link to submit your request. 

 

If you need more assistance, you can call the Circulation Desk at 310-338-5709 to request to recall a checked out book.

  • The original borrower may keep the book for a minimum 3 week checkout. A recall will prevent renewals.
  • You will receive an email when the book has been returned and is available for pickup at Circulation.

Because a recall can take some time, consider requesting a copy through Link+ if there is one available. Please note, your university ID will be needed to request a book through Linked+. For more help with requesting through Link+, click here. Link+ books take about 3-5 business days to arrive at the library.
